Sunday, May 18, 1919 to Sunday, June 07, 2009 A Resident of Leopold, MO Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO The Final Resting Place is at the St John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Leopold, MO Albert Joseph Elfrink, 90, of Leopold, MO died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born May 18, 1919 in Leopold, MO son of Jacob H. and Adelheid Jansen Elfrink. He married Catherine M. Seesing on February 26, 1946 and she died March 28, 2004. Mr. Elfrink was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and a fifty seven year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a charter member of Saint Isidore Council # 5898, Leopold, and a fourth degree member of St. John's Assembly #1740. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Elfrink retired as a Knights of Columbus Insurance Agent. Albert served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the Battleship USS Indiana. Survivors include: two sons Delwin (Theresa) Elfrink of Cape Girardeau, Floyd Elfrink of Italy, TX, two daughters; Sandra (Ralph) Beussink of Leopold, Shirley (Keith) Brotherton of Marble Hill, one brother, Tom Elfrink of Leopold; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, six brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers led by Rev. John Harth and the Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leopold School Foundation. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Craig, Kyle and Cory Elfrink, Alan Beussink, Matt Brotherton, and godson, Harold Horrell. Readers will be granddaughters, Stacey Kamps and Molly Brotherton, and participants in the offertory procession will be granddaughters, Becky Beussink and Katelyn Brotherton. The organist will be Mary Jansen, who will be accompanied by St. John's Church Choir.
