Monday, January 02, 1922 to Thursday, March 31, 2011 A Resident of Marble Hill, MO Visitation Services will be held on Saturday, April 02, 2011 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 03, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church near Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO Aslee Cook, 89, of Marble Hill, MO, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Woodland Care Facility in Marble Hill. She was born January 2, 1922, at Hurricane, MO; daughter of David and Barbara Causey Long. She and Rev. Grover Cleveland Cook were united in marriage on March 25, 1939 and he passed away on February 8, 2010. Aslee was a nurses aid at the Bond nursing Home in Marble Hill, several years she worked at the Ward Cafe as a cook and was a member of Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son, Rev. Cecil (Velda) Cook of Edwardsville, IL, two daughters, Gladys (Rev. Perry) Welker of Fenton, MO; Naomi (Jim) Null of Marble Hill; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Betty Campbell, Norma Webb, fourteen brothers, Edward, Elvin, Volley Calvin, Justin Ray, Henry Benjamin, John Ivan, Hubert, Cecil Earl, Leo Winfred, Woodrow Wilson, Jessie Lee, William Paul, Huey Franklin, Arzie Roosevelt, two sisters, Stella Kathryn, Esther Fay and one granddaughter, Iris Null. Condolences may be left at www.lileyfuneralhomes.com Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral Services will be Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Hurricane Fork General Baptist church with the Rev. Clint Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill. I'll always love "grandma " I'll miss her greatly. I used to go visit with her while my mother (Susan Alexander) slept across on green hall. She and Grover sat right in front of Don and me for years at H.F.G.B.C. I have many,many good memories of both she and Grover. I'll see you come morning,grandma.Till then,I love you way past etrnity.....Ruth Oh my goodness what a loss we have truly suffered but what a Rare Jewel Heaven has gained! Aslee (Toots) was a very special lady to me. She lived a life before all of us that set a great example of the special relationship one can have with Jesus Christ. She helped me so many ways with my genealogy information. I could always count on Aslee to tell me the truth and not hold anything back. I loved her and will miss her very much. God in His wisdom brought her home to be with Him. My condolences to all the family. Naomi, so sorry to hear about your moms passing.I know she was ready to go a long time ago to be with your dad and I will never forget they great way they both treated me with love and respect.Imiss Norma Lee we were like sisters and I will always hold all of them in my heart as long as I live .May she rest in gods arms and no more hurting and being sick .I had so many good laughs with her and your dad and of course Norma Lee she was the best .May god bless you and your family.Loe to all .-shirley- One of the sweetest ladies God has ever blessed us with.I'm sad that she is gone but Praise God I'm also rejoicing because she has made it home to be with the Lord.Aunt Toots love ya and miss ya. Have peace in knowing Aunt Toots is now with our Sweet,Sweet Saviour. She is safe, she is healed, she is home and she is FREE!!!!!! Luv Ya all. Dear Gladys, Eddie, Naomi and all the family, My heart goes out to all of you. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around each of you and comforts you. It's hard to give up your parents. Just know that i love you all so very much, and Aunt Toots is with all of her loved ones now. Perry and Gladys, you were so good to our family when we lost our parents, so we're here for you if you need us.
