He was born October 9, 1926 at Matthews, MO, son of August M. and Luie Shell McFarland. He was united in marriage March 18, 1949 to Lula B. Hendrix and she preceded him in death January 13, 1996. Mr. McFarland was a farmer and a member of the General Baptist Faith. He loved the farm and visiting various Churches in the area. Survivors include: sons; Bill D. McFarland, Wills Point, TX, Louie C. McFarland, Hamilton, OH, Thomas M. McFarland, Glen Allen, MO, Rev. Dale McFarland, Sikeston, MO, daughters; Leda J. McFarland, Sikeston, Janice S. Lee, Cookeville, TN, Candy Lynn Irwin, Atoka, TN, two sisters Barbara Jane Stogsdill, Bloomfield, MO, Patsy R. Cult, Barlow, KY, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife one son Timothy one daughter Sandy, one infant brother and four sisters. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill the funeral service will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home chapel with Bro.
