Catherine Marie Ludwig

Catherine Marie Ludwig, 68, of Marble Hill, Missouri passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 27, 1956 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Charles "Pete" and Wilma (Cook) Welker. She and Gary Ludwig were married in June of 2007 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife and was happiest when surrounded by her 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She loved to garden, sew, and quilt. She was a true pioneer woman, she worked hard and loved to be outdoors. She was a member of Outreach Worship Church and a deeply spiritual woman. She was a CNA and dedicated 18 years of her career to the Missouri Veterans Home. Survivors include four sons, Glenn (Monica) Bollinger of Marble Hill, MO, Wayne Bollinger of Valley Center, KS, Shannon (Lisa) Bollinger of Minor, MO, and Kelly (Tiffany) Bollinger of Glen Allen, MO; one daughter, Jennifer L. Butler of Marble Hill, MO; and four step-children, Robert (Amber) Ludwig, or Jackson, MO, Greg (Jessica) Ludwig, of Jackson, MO, Christopher (Caitlin) Ludwig, of Jackson, MO, Alexander (Liana) Muth, of Festus, MO, and Marissa (Dwayne) Cussins of Salem, MO. Three brothers, Leon Welker of Paducah, KY, Donald Welker of Dexter, MO, and Rick Welker of Fulton, MO; as well as four sisters, Kathy Sullivan of Greenville, MO, Eyvon K. Cook of Marble Hill, MO, Juliette Smith of Marble Hill, MO, and Elizabeth Smith of Marble Hill, MO. Along with 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as three beautiful children, two sons, Lee Herman and Bruce Charles Bollinger; and one daughter Maria Bollinger. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Gary, Frank, and Carl Welker; and her first husband Lynn Bollinger. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO. Funeral service will be at 10 am, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO with Pastor Jerry Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Bollinger Cemetery in Sedgewickville, MO. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
