Sunday, July 23, 1961 to Sunday, December 11, 2016 A Resident of Leopold, MO Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO The Final Resting Place is at the St. John's Cemetery in Leopold, MO Edgar Stoverink, age 55 of Leopold, MO passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 23, 1961 in Cape Girardeau, MO; son of Lawrence Herman and Magdalen Adelheld Hinkebein Stoverink. He and Cori Smith were married on April 20, 1996 at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. Edgar worked for 25 year as a Welder and dock hand for MO Dry Dock and He and his wife were owners of the Leopold Country Store for 13 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Isidore Knights of Columbus #5898 inside guard for 22 years, MO National Horseshoe Pitching Association and the SEMO Horseshoe Pitching Association. Survivors include; wife Cori of Leopold, MO; sons Wesley Stoverink and Howard (Crystal) Smith both of Leopold, MO; daughters Tracy (Jason) Cook, Nita (Billy) Castile of Leopold, MO; Jena (Kyle) Weber of Kansas City, MO; Cassi (Truman) Gipson of Glen Allen, MO; brothers; Tony (Darlene) Stoverink of Leopold, MO; Steve (Gina) Stoverink of Malden, MO; Alan (Ramona) Stoverink of Marble Hill, MO; Terry (Michele) Stoverink of Glennon, MO; sisters Geraldine (John Jr.) Bohnsack, of Whitewater, MO; Kathy Chapman of Benton, AR; Dorothy (Michael) VanGennip of Glennon, MO; Susie (Tim) Lukefahr of Leopold, MO; Patsy (Steve) Birk of Gordonville, MO; sister-n-law Linda Stoverink of Leopold, MO; and ten grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Arnold and Eugene Stoverink and brother-n-law Tom Chapman. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO with K C Rosary at 7:00 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with Father David Coon Officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
