Monday, November 03, 1947 to Friday, August 14, 2009 A Resident of Leopold, MO Visitation Services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO The Final Resting Place is at the St John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Leopold, MO Eugene Stoverink, age 61 of Leopold, MO died Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born November 3, 1947 in Leopold, MO, son of Lawrence H. and Magdalen Hinkebein Stoverink. He and Linda Nenninger were married on October 28, 1972, at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold. He worked as a carpenter, served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, a member of St. John's Catholic Church and a 3rd degree member of the St. Isidore Council 5898 of the Knights of Columbus at Leopold. Survivors include; his wife; Linda, one son; Rodney (Sharon) Stoverink of Belton, MO, one daughter; Amanda Stoverink of Leopold, his mother, Magdalen Stoverink of Leopold, five brothers; Tony Stoverink, Edgar Stoverink both of Leopold, Steve Stoverink, Malden, MO, Alan Stoverink, Terry Stoverink, both of Marble Hill, five sisters; Geraldine Bohnsack, Whitewater, MO, Kathy Chapman, Benton, Arkansas, Dorothy VanGennip Marble Hill, Susie Lukefahr, Leopold, Patsy Birk, Gordonville, MO, two grandchildren, Bethany and Joseph Stoverink. Preceding him in death was his father Lawrence Stoverink and a brother, Arnold Stoverink. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish Prayers and K of C Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with Rev. John Harth Officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with full Military rights provided by the Missouri Honors team and VFW post 5900. So sorry to hear of your loss, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers..... Susan Rodney, Sharon and family, I'm very sorry for your loss. Although I never met your father, I know he was an incredible man, he raised an incredible son. My prayers are with you.
