Friday, August 15, 1913 to Sunday, February 26, 2012 A Resident of Marble Hill, MO Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, March 01, 2012 at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 02, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO Evelyn Emmalaur Welker, age 98, of Marble Hill, MO; passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born August 15, 1913 in Greenfield, TN; daughter of Mellie and Bird Stout Sherrill. She and Ardith Welker were united in marriage on August 17, 1935 and he passed away on June 17, 1985. Evelyn had worked for the Inland Shoe Company as a Line Supervisor, and was a member of the Community Church in Marble Hill. Survivors include: daughters Helen Underwood of Cape Girardeau; Betty McDaniels of St. Louis; five granddaughters, twelve great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren and special friend Jamie Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son James David, daughters, Edna Mae, Martha Sue, Elwanda and sister Leora Scurlock. Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Diana Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill. Dear Family, I so sorry to hear of your loss. I thought alot of Ms. Evelyn and had ever since a little girl when Artie would get his fiddle out and play. I always looked for the little red house by the vet office, I pray that the lord send peace your way. I really loved your parents and as a small child called them aunt evelyn and uncle artie. Debbie, so sorry to hear about the loss of your grandmother, I worked with her at Advance shoe, when i was a teenager long time ago. Just wanted to say Hi and let you know you are in our prayers. I used to stop in and see your mom when she was in Elder Care. Eddie's parents were there at the same time. Beverly,Patty & Connie we would love to see you as well. I still remember the times I babysat you and you played with Terry & Clinton You've had grandma for a long time . Now cherish her memory. Our phone # is 618-655-1690.
