Thursday, June 24, 1920 to Sunday, April 06, 2008 A Resident of Marble Hill, MO Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 09, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO Juanita Louise Sample, age 87, of Marble Hill, MO died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Eldercare of Marble Hill. She was born June 24, 1920 in Lutesville, MO, daughter of Jacob M and Laura M Eaker Hahn. She married Charles Sample and he died on October 9, 1970. Mrs. Sample was a homemaker and a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Marble Hill. Survivors include: two sons Glen Sample of Cape Girardeau, Ivan Sample of Marble Hill, four granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Willard, Eldon, and Milford Hahn. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill. My Aunt Ann was forever young in spirit. I looked forward to spending summers with my favorite aunt whom I idolized. She was the first woman I ever knew that could drive a tractor, a flatbed truck, work all day in the garden and kitchen and then start all over the next day without complaint. Her biscuits were the best and she taught Bill who then taught me. As a 'city girl,' I was impressed by how she could boss a flock of chickens, coax water from the well, lead choir at the schoolhouse revival, and make tasty preserves from a watermelon rind! In addition, and most importantly, she raised a family to be proud of. Just knowing that she was only a phone call or one of her fine penmanship letters away has been a constant in my life and I will miss that comfort. My heart aches for my cousins, her sons, in the loss of their mother and also for Uncle Eugene. My heart was sadden to hear the passing of Ann. She will be missed by each of us and we shall remember the many memories we shared. Blessings on all of the family members. I am so sorry to hear about Ann, she will always be remembered in my heart. May God Be with each of you and may His promise of eternal life be a comfort to you. We know that we will see her again. Willa & I extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies over this loss. Ann was very special to us, too. She aided me a number of times in genealogical data... Eugene, I grieve right along with you. Take care, Friend...God watches over us.
