Kenneth Ray McWilson

Kenneth R. McWilson, 86 of Jackson, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, April, 5th 2024. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and several family members. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Cleo Hollingsworth McWilson and Edith (Brownell) McWilson; 2 brothers, Stanley McWilson and Earl McWilson; and one sister, Frances (McWilson) Hebert. He is survived by his wife Beverly (James) McWilson, three sons; Frederick Allan (Beverly Gohn) McWilson, of Woodland Park, CO, and Michael Ray (Kerri Allan) McWilson, of Jackson, Randal Lee (Amanda Pruitt) McWilson; 10 grandchildren, Drew (Sierra) McWilson, Lance (Kristen) McWilson, Joshua (Cassandra) McWilson, Jordan (Joseph) Randol, Courtney (Wil) Linder, Kryston (Nick) Graning, Kathryn (Colten) Proffer, Ashton (Adam) Eastin, Chase McWilson, Levi McWilson and 19 great grandchildren; one sister Pauline (McWilson) Nelson of Derby, KS; and many nieces and nephews. He was the third child of five born to Cleo Hollingsworth McWilson and Edith (Brownell) McWilson and was born at home in Concordia, KS on October 22nd 1937. He was saved by Grace and confessed the Lord Jesus as his Savior at the Fellowship Christian Church in Concordia, KS at an early age. He served in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1958. Ken met the love of his life, Beverly, and they were married Feb. 13th, 1960. He was employed by Ford Motor Company as a mechanic and Croft Rental in San Jose, CA as the lead mechanic and lastly he owned and operated his auto mechanic shop, Ken's Auto & Truck Repair in Jackson, MO from 1979 to 2002 when he retired. Ken and his wife, Beverly were faith workers for the El Nathan Retirement Home in Marble Hill, MO in which they provided care and love for the seniors until its closure. He enjoyed woodworking, boating and fishing. He was always there to help a friend or neighbor with anything asked of him. His love for Jesus shone from him everywhere he went. Ken's favorite hymn was "Some Golden Daybreak." It contains these wonderful lines: Sad hearts will gladden, all shall be bright, Goodbye forever to Earth's dark night; Changed in a moment, like Him to be, Oh, glorious daybreak, Jesus I'll see. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Andy Englehart officiating. Burial will be at Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
