Wednesday, July 09, 1930 to Wednesday, May 18, 2011 A Resident of Marquand, MO Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Congregational Methodist Church near Marquand, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Liberty Church Cemetery near Marquand, MO Lela Faye Easley Whitener, 80, of Marquand, MO passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She was born July 9, 1930, in Talent, MO; to George and Florence Moore Easley. She was married to the love of her life, William (Bill Sam) Whitener, on January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia Long. Faye worked for Angelica Corporation for 36 years until retirement. She was a lifelong member Of Liberty Congregational Methodist Church, where she served as church treasurer, Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and choir member. She loved her God, her church and her family. She is survived by: her only child, Sandy (Bruce) Hampton of North Pole, Alaska; grandchildren, Emily Smallwood who recently moved to MO to care for her grandmother; William Yount of New Orleans, LA; Elisabeth (Tom) Hayer of Fairbanks, AK and Stephanie Hampton of Baton Rouge, LA; and three Great Grandchildren, Samantha, Abigail and William; sister, Peggy (James) Shrum; sister in law, Wilma Whitener; sister in law, Doris (John) O'Bannon of MT; several nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P M Sunday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM; Monday at the Liberty Congregational Methodist Church in Marquand, MO with the Rev. Jamie Hovis officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Church cemetery near Marquand, MO. We are thankful for her picking Mom up for church Sundays and Wednessdays . She is going to be missed.We will be praying for the family. The Lord will give you all the strength togo thru this time. With deepest sympathy you will surely be missed by everyone.are prayers are with the family. What a wonderful Lady! She will be missed by many!
