Monday, March 09, 1925 to Thursday, January 20, 2011 A Resident of Wood River, IL Visitation Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Patton Cemetery near Patton, MO Lloyd Allen Marshall, age 85, of Woodriver, IL and formerly of Patton, MO; passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the VIP Manor in Wood River, IL. He was born March 9, 1925 at Cape Girardeau, MO; son of Pearl and Lillie Propst Marshall. He married Ethel Lovina Mungle April 17, 1943. Lloyd was a machinist for the Shell Oil Company, a member of the International Order of Machinist and a member of the Reagan's Chapel United Methodist Church. He served his Country proudly in the U. S. Army during WWII. Survivors include: his wife, Ethel of Wood River; one son, Jerry Marshall of Bethalto, IL; one daughter, Judy Fischer of Belleville, IL; one sister, Glenda Fadler of Festus, MO; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one nephew, one niece and one great niece. Preceding him in death was his parents, one sister Virginia and one nephew Rodney Fadler. Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M., at the Funeral Home with Rev. W. D. Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in the Patton Cemetery in Patton. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. The lost of a love one is the most painful experience we have in life. There is a void that cannot be filled. Rest assured the Bible promises we will hold them again and enjoy their smiling faces forever. It is God's purpose that no one dies ever again and everyone live on earth in Paradise. God never wanted anyone to die but to live happy healthy lives forever on earth. We have to exercise faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, to gain these blessings. God gives us his Word so we can gain comfort now and have hope for the future. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't know about it until 8:30 tonight.
