Tuesday, December 23, 1924 to Thursday, May 13, 2010 A Resident of Marble Hill, MO Visitation Services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO Loren A. Huffman, age 85, of Marble Hill, MO, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born December 23, 1924 in Laflin, MO; son of Lee and Ida Mae Barks Huffman. He and Lois Morrison were united in marriage on April 12, 1947. Loren was a lifetime farmer, served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII, and a member of Barks Chapel Church. Survivors include: his wife, Lois of Marble Hill; one son, Randy of Jackson; two daughters, Phyllis Harris of Brookfield, KS; Linda Bryan of St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Aleen Garland of Marble Hill; Kathleen Douglas of St. Louis; Ruby Morrison of Murphyeesboro IL seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Loren Bradley, four brothers; Ralph, Lawrence, Ray, Lloyd and three sisters, Wanda Jean, Alma Jenkins, Lucille Cook and one grandson, Tony Riehn. Visitation will be Friday, May 14, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Thinking of you at this time. It's tough. Linda, Linda, I am sorry for your loss. Some of my fondest childhood memories were when we all got together at Grandpa Huffman's for Sunday family get togethers. My thoughts and prayers are with the family this weekend. I'm sorry I can't be there to see everyone. Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the lord.
