Tuesday, November 06, 1917 to Sunday, May 20, 2007 A Resident of Patton, MO Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Patton Presbyterian Church in Patton, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Patton Cemetery near Patton, MO Mable E. Sample, age 89, of Patton, MO died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born November 6, 1917, in Sedgewickville, MO, daughter of Rev. Charles R. and Mary Bell Baker. She and Charles David Sample were united in marriage on May 6, 1939 in Benton, MO and he died on Nov. 29, 1992. Mrs. Sample taught school for several years for the Patton School, the Marble Hill School, Meadow Heights School, a Counselor for Ritenour High School in Overland, MO, was a life long member of the Patton Presbyterian Church, a member of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge in Fredericktown, member of the DAR, the Happy Old People in Patton, Ladies Presbyterian Circle and the Thursday Literary Club in Jackson, MO. She is survived by two sons, David Sample of Patton, MO, Ed Sample of Athens, Ala, one daughter Laura Inman of Patton, two sisters Ethel Baker of Patton, Thelma Stone of Chaffee, MO, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 P. M. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO with an Eastern Star service by Lodge #305 of Millersville at 7:30 PM. Then on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 visitation will be at the Patton Presbyterian Church from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 P. M. with the Rev. Tisha Mundy and Rev. Clark McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in the Patton cemetery. I want you to know I have prayed for you and will continue to do so. I know there are no words to help you, only the Peace that comes from God above. He is with you and as hard as I know it is to do, you must let Him hold you. If any of you need someone who knows and understands the horror of where you are please call me. I will be there.
