Tuesday, October 06, 1914 to Sunday, June 10, 2012 A Resident of Patton, MO Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Reagans Chapel Cemetery near Patton, MO Nancy Caroline (Mungle) Heitman of Patton, MO; passed from this earth June 10, 2012 at the Monticello House in Jackson, MO. She was 97 years of age. She was born October 6, 1914 to James I. and Laura C. Yount Mungle. The fourth child of nine children. She and Hansel Walden Heitman were married April 4, 1935 at Fredericktown, MO. Six children were born to the couple. Infant daughter Norma Jean precedes her in death. She is survived by five children; Louella (Larry) Barber of Brazeau, MO; Louise (Jim) Baker, Judy (Carl) Wilfong of Patton; Jerry (Judy) Heitman and Larry (Cindy) Heitman all of Patton; along with brothers Kent Mungle of Patton; Glen (Anna Lee) Mungle of Troy, MO; sister-in-law Germaine Mungle of Patton; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews, friends and neighbors can remember her and be glad. Preceding her in death were he parents, husband Hansel, brothers Arthur, Lester, and Claude Mungle, sisters Mattie Heitman, Edna Reagan and Nola Henry. Nancy spent the majority of her life time at Patton Missouri the last 60 years at the home in which she was born. She was a member of Reagans Chapel United Methodist Church, Friendly Homemakers FCE Club and Blue Creek Quilters. Her garden and flowers were her joy during their season and piecing and hand quilting where her on going hobbies. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Eisenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in the Reagan Chapel Cemetery near Patton. May God bless you through this time of loss. We are praying for you. We love you, Jerry, Judy and Erin. We are sorry for your loss but she had a long life and so she was blessed. Dear Louella, Louise, Judy, Jerry, & Larry, I am so sorry for your loss and mine as well. Nancy was a very special aunt whom I loved dearly. As a child I remembered Nancy's peach cobbler and her delicious chocolate gravy. As I grew older and came with my parents for a visit, I loved reminiscing with Nancy as we looked at old yearbooks. Nancy held a wealth of information when it came to my old schoolmates, teachers, friends, family, etc. I loved staying with her and Hansel on these visits - fishing at the pond, looking at her quilts, watching her quilt, and walking in the garden. I thank God that I was blessed with such a loving & caring aunt. Nancy now resides in heaven and someday I will see her again. May God comfort all of you in your time of sorrow. It sounds like your Grandma had a wonderful life, and left a great legacy of family. I hope that leaves you and your family with a great sense of happiness, not saddness. I'm sure she will be missed.
