Herman E. Brown

Herman Eugene Brown, 94, of Jackson, Missouri, died Monday, February 9, 2026, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born January 25, 1932, in Morehouse, MO to Herbert and Zora (Getters) Brown. He and Doris V. Milford were married on August 22, 1951; she survives. Herman lived a life of faith, family, and hard work. His greatest joy was his relationship with his Lord and Savior; his faith guided his steps and gave him strength throughout his 94 years. His legacy of service was that of a truly hardworking man. Herman was never afraid to do what was necessary to provide a good life for those he loved. In his younger years, he balanced three jobs simultaneously to ensure his family was well-cared for. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. After retirement He became the "family taxi driver". Whether it was to school, a ballgame, or any other event, he made it a priority to be there, never missing an opportunity to show his unwavering support. A role model who inspired his family to live with integrity and kindness. While his family grieves his passing, they find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and has been welcomed home. He and Doris were members of Millersville First Baptist Church. In addition to Doris his wife of 74 years Herman is survived by his granddaughter Jennifer (Eric) Bosco of Jackson, two grandsons Christopher (Jenna Roberson) Brown of Wentzville, MO, Adam (Amanda) Brooks of Troy, MO along with 6 great-grandchildren; Tyler (Kyra) Govero, Taylor (James) Beeson, Tanner Govero, Isabelle Bosco, Harold Bosco and Makayla Brooks, and Daughter-In-Law Dawn Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Herbert Brown and 8 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at the Millersville First Baptist Church Funeral services will be at 12 noon, at the church with Rev.
