Wednesday, June 22, 1938 to Saturday, November 03, 2007 A Resident of Marble Hill, MO Visitation Services will be held on Monday, November 05, 2007 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 06, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Marble Hill United Methodist Church in Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO Mary Carolyn Thomas, age 69, of Marble Hill, MO, died Saturday, November 03, 2007, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 22, 1938 at Lutesville, MO, daughter of Roy B. and Margie Leona Kirkpatrick Underwood. She and Paul David Thomas were united in marriage on September 22, 1962 at the Lutesville Church of God. She was co-owner of Lutesville Motor Company and a member of the General Federated Women's Club, Girl Scouts of America and attended the Marble Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include: her husband Paul David, two daughters Lisa Thomas Choate of Fort Myers Beach, FL, Mitzi Thomas Rhodes of Marble Hill, one brother Rick Underwood of Marble Hill, and three grandchildren Collin, Krista, and Caroline Rhodes all of Marble Hill. Preceding her in death was her parents. Visitation will be Monday, November 5, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Marble Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Kelpe officiating. Burial will in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation. Mary Caroline was quite a lady. She valued her community and her family. So sorry, Lisa. I'm thinking about you. Be the great older sister that you are. Dear Paul David and family, I was so sorry to hear of Mary Carolyn's passing. I drove through Marble Hill last summer and regret I did not stop by to say hey. I have wonderful memories of both of you when we were growing up in Marble Hill. Mary Carolyn was just wonderful to me at Semo when I was just a younger kid who admired my cousin. Peace to you all, Kael What a wonderful lady. She and my mother, Eulene "Boots" fought a brave and long battle against this illness. They both remained kind and caring throughout. I will never forget the love, kindness and support she gave my mother. My heart goes out to all of her family. So Sorry to hear of the loss of Mary Carolyn. I will always remember meeting her at Queeny Towers. Dr Delmez really worked hard for Eulene and her. They both gave it a good fight and they are both sorely missed . She was a wondeful lady.
