Michael Lee Kirkpatrick

Michael Lee Kirkpatrick, known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, passed at the Stonebridge Senior Living facility in Marble Hill, Missouri, on October 3, 2024, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He lived a life filled with tremendous love, passion, and service towards others. Michael was born on January 26, 1963, in Desloge, Missouri to Charles Lee (Brov) and Lola Marie (Wright) Kirkpatrick. He was referred to by many, as “Cash” after his love of Johnny Cash and graduated from Meadow Heights School in Patton, Missouri. He was of Baptist faith and held a strong love for Jesus Christ. During high school, Michael would work for his uncles and neighboring farmers, hauling hay and performing other farm duties, which spurred his love for antique tractors. He was very proud of his “G” and “50” John Deere tractors. His other love was “Old Blue”, his 2003 Ford Dually pickup truck. Many around town recognized Old Blue and would say, “Here comes Cash”. He had a love for horses and enjoyed miles of trail riding with family and friends. Micheal was employed at ARI Greenbrier Rail Services in Jackson, Missouri, for 27 years. He worked for Woodland R-IV Schools in Marble Hill, as a part-time custodian in later years. He is survived by his aunts, Shirley Hudnut of O’Fallon, and Zola (Ridge) Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill, along with numerous cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Michael devotedly visited his mother while she was a resident at Stonebridge Senior Living facility. After his mother’s passing, Michael continued visiting the residents of Stonebridge to cheer them up and bring a little joy into their lives. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother; grandparents Lee and Olive Kirkpatrick; Edgar and Margaret Ray Wright; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral and Service for Michael will be held on Monday, October 7th, at Ford Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM and funeral service to begin at 1:00 PM. Reverend Nathan Huffman will officiate and burial to follow at the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
