Raymond Allen Meek

Rev. Raymond Allen Meek, 85, of Glen Allen, Missouri died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born September 4, 1938 at the farm near Abington, Wayne County, Indiana to Glen Dale and Anna Marie (Bartling) Meek. Ray and Quelda Janis (Burner) Meek were married January 07, 1956 at the Centerville Christian Church in Centerville, IN. Both Ray and Quelda attended Centerville High School. There were five sons born to this marriage. Ray was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ray went on to be with his Lord and Savior on April 16, 2024. Ray was a local pastor of small country Baptist Churches for many years. He received Jesus Christ as his Savior on October 13, 1974 in St. Louis County, Missouri. Bro. Ray as many folk knew him, was called to proclaim the Gospel in October 1977 at New Trace Creek Church. Miller's Chapel Church was his first pastorate. He is presently a member of New Trace Creek Baptist church. Ray was also a Farm Bureau Member and Farm Bureau Insurance Agent for several years and also a real estate agent and he also had his own Tax Preparation Service for several years. He is survived by four sons, Tim (Kay) Meek, Marble Hill, Missouri, Randall Scott (Flora) Meek, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Bart Meek of Midland, Texas And Pastor Derrick (Amy) Meek of Marquand, Missouri; one brother, Glen Wayne (Vicki) Meek of Richmond, Indiana; one sister, Betty Rose (Meek) (Don) Dils of Richmond, Indiana, ten grandchildren and several great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Marquis Meek and sister, Jo Ann Maher. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday April 22, 2024 at Ford & Liley Funeral Home, Marble Hill, MO. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Derrick Meek & Tim Meek officiating.
