Saturday, May 11, 1935 to Tuesday, May 29, 2007 A Resident of Leopold, MO Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 4:00 PM to at the St Johns Catholic Church in Leopold, MO Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 01, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the St John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO The Final Resting Place is at the St John's Catholic Church Cemetery in Leopold, MO Robert Jansen, age 72, of Leopold, MO died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at his farm following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on May 11, 1935 at Leopold, MO son of Robert W. and Clara Lucy Debrock Jansen. He first married Marilyn Nenninger in 1957 and then he married Karen Stause in 2000. Mr. Jansen was a self employed farmer, a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, National Farmers Organization, Bollinger County Soil and Water Conservation Board, past president and member of the Leopold School Board, past recipient of the University of Missouri Farm Extension Award. Survivors include; one son; Bobby (Kristi) Jansen of Leopold, four daughters, Roberta Jansen of Leopold, Kimberly Jean (Jim) Sands of Parker, CO, Jacqueline Ranae (Ron) Brown, Caroline Sue (Tony) Gemeinhardt both of Leopold, one step daughter, Jessica Stause of the State of SC, one brother Arnold Jansen of Leopold, six sisters, Clara Macke, Agnes Broshuis both of Leopold, Rose Macke of Toledo, OH, Loretta Blattel of Chaffee, Sister Mary Jane Jansen of Oran, Nettie Surface of Leopold, 10 grandchildren, Leslee Ricketts, Shelbee Miller, Josh and Jonathan Sands, Brice and Jace Jansen, Robert and Parker Brown, Kaylee and Carson Gemeinhardt. Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother Robert W, two sisters, Adeline Vandeven, Dorothy Hinkebein and one granddaughter Karlee Sue Brown. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leopold R3 School. Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, MO with Knight of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00 A.M. at the St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. To the Family and Friends of Robert Jansen. Uncle Robert, you certainly will be missed on this world, but you left it a better place. I will miss your laughter and smile.
