Wednesday, July 14, 1926 to Friday, February 08, 2008 A Resident of New Braunfels, TX Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, July 02, 2008 at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 02, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, MO The Final Resting Place is at the Clubb Creek Cemetery near Zalma, MO Uldine Perkins Mock Brake, 82 of New Braunfels, TX and formerly of Marble Hill left this earth on Feb 8, 2008. The only living daughter of 13 children, she was born on July 14, 1926 in St Louis, Mo to the late Marvin L. and Josephine A. Perkins both of Marble Hill, MO. She was involved in many activities throughout her life including the American Red Cross, NCO Wives, The VFW, American Gold Star Mothers, and The Order of The Eastern Star. She also enjoyed square dancing, crochet and reading. She was married in Mar, 1946 to the late SFC Raymond W. Mock of Toledo, OH, who preceded her in death in 1970. From this union came 3 children Kevin D. (wife: Sharon) of Fayetteville, AR; Jai T (Tammie) Perkins of San Marcos, TX, and Kelly W. (wife: Rita) of El Paso, TX. Her eldest son Kevin preceded her in death in Nov, 1989. She remarried in 1975 to SFC Charles E. Brake of Brookside, AL. She was active in the VFW at many posts in Texas and Missouri and held the office of chaplain for many years and was also a member of Cranes Mill Baptist church of Canyon Lake, TX. She also leaves behind 2 step-children Richard Brake of Salina, KS and Jeanette Brake of Clay Center, KS; 7 grandchildren, Shannon Lewis of OK; Meghan Banton of Rapid City, SD; Jeremiah Babcock of San Marcos, TX; Adam Field of San Marcos, TX; Lcpl. Michael McDowell of Camp Fallujah, Iraq; Denise Alvarez of San Antonio, TX; and Anne McDowell of El Paso, TX, 5 great-grandchildren, a brother, Harold Perkins (Brenda) of Vidor, TX, and numerous nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at the Liley funeral chapel on July 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM and she will be entered at Clubb Creek cemetery in Zalma, MO with Harold Perkins officiating the service.
